The twin questions of Christian/Cult often take too much for granted without bothering to define terms first, Here are some thoughts on the issue: http://michaelrcollings.blogspot.com/2011/10/mormonism-cult-or-christian.html

Polygamy has always been about the ownership of women and continues to be an atrocity justified by religion, as with so many other atrocities against humanity. It is a human rights abuse and one that continues to propegate the belief that women are not of equal value to men. However it is sliced and by whatever religion it is justified it is time for humanity to evolve beyond the ownership of others.

Hi - I am seeking your help and your prayers

For days I have been Googling for Christian, Catholic and Orthodox discussion forums, and while there are many out there, not all are accepting registrations.

It is my belief that as Christians we can all learn from each other. That does not mean converting from one faith to another, but rather just reading and discussing to get a better understanding of faith, GOD, the scriptures, and the ultimate gift of salvation that comes through Christ's Blood. It is by Christ alone we are saved, and Christ didn't limit his teachings. When our Saviour walked this earth he reached out to the Samaritan. He ate with the tax collectors. He cured the haemorrhaging woman who touched the bottom of his cloak. Example after example can be found where he followed the "spirit of the law" as opposed to the words of the Jewish laws.

A lot of time an effort has been put in to creating my forum - http://apostolictradition.org/ The forum also includes a sub-forum for Taosism and its place in the world of Christianity. These initial efforts are just a start. The forum will undoubtedly evolve as I receive feedback, and as inspiration from my prayers guides me. It was prayer and The Holy Spirit that has inspired me to take up this task, risk ridicule, insult, and rejection, but I persevered and will continue to persevere. You are just one of many I have, and will, ask for help.

So far rejections have far out numbered offers to help, but I will continue without discouragement.

All that I ask is that you may share the URL for this forum, and invite others to come participate, learn, discuss, and grow. I also extend a personal invitation to you to join and participate in the discussions.

In Christ's Holy Name......

Robert

MY LORD GOD, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.

This is pure foolish, these Jihadists aren't even proper Muslims, if they would they'd realize their concept of Jihad is twisted! In Islam it advertises that in Jihad you cannot launch pre-emptive strikes, or against innocent bystanders, and you must settle for peace talks! These people aren't fighting from an Islamic motive, they're fighting because of poverty, silly tribal feuds they feel the West stirred, and just generally poor life standards.

Please do take into account that the British Empire regularly massacred Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs during their corrupt regime and that Christian Crusaders slaughtered innocent Muslims too. Our religion is only imperfect because of adherents who can't follow it properly.

But hey, if US citizens want Muslims out of their country, why the hell are there American troops stationed in Muslim nations? Sounds hypocritical if you ask me.

I read your post while researching for a sermon this next week. You have yellow quotes at the end of your post. Who are those quotes attributed to? I would like to use a few and would like to give credit to original author. Thanks for you blog and helping me with this.

All Muslims must leave the US. All mosques emptied. I apologize to all American Muslims who may not (or may) be intent on imposing a theocratic state here, but I see no other way at this point.
Jihadists hide beneath the very premises of free expression and political correctness this country embraces.
Do your thing...outside our borders.

Wow. what prejudice you spout out. What if a Muslim country put ecomonic sanctions on U.S and millions of children dies because of lack of medicine and food. What if a muslim country regularly drop bombs through drones to your cities killing many innocent civilians. If you reject these possibilities there is no way you can justify actions of U.S against Muslims. We are also humans you see. We don't hate you but we do hate what your government does. Why are you people so full of hate?.
