This is pure foolish, these Jihadists aren't even proper Muslims, if they would they'd realize their concept of Jihad is twisted! In Islam it advertises that in Jihad you cannot launch pre-emptive strikes, or against innocent bystanders, and you must settle for peace talks! These people aren't fighting from an Islamic motive, they're fighting because of poverty, silly tribal feuds they feel the West stirred, and just generally poor life standards.

Please do take into account that the British Empire regularly massacred Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs during their corrupt regime and that Christian Crusaders slaughtered innocent Muslims too. Our religion is only imperfect because of adherents who can't follow it properly.

But hey, if US citizens want Muslims out of their country, why the hell are there American troops stationed in Muslim nations? Sounds hypocritical if you ask me.

I read your post while researching for a sermon this next week. You have yellow quotes at the end of your post. Who are those quotes attributed to? I would like to use a few and would like to give credit to original author. Thanks for you blog and helping me with this.

All Muslims must leave the US. All mosques emptied. I apologize to all American Muslims who may not (or may) be intent on imposing a theocratic state here, but I see no other way at this point.
Jihadists hide beneath the very premises of free expression and political correctness this country embraces.
Do your thing...outside our borders.

Wow. what prejudice you spout out. What if a Muslim country put ecomonic sanctions on U.S and millions of children dies because of lack of medicine and food. What if a muslim country regularly drop bombs through drones to your cities killing many innocent civilians. If you reject these possibilities there is no way you can justify actions of U.S against Muslims. We are also humans you see. We don't hate you but we do hate what your government does. Why are you people so full of hate?.

If you think you know the true nature of Islam and Jihad, I ask you to think again. Look at Muslim americans like Humza Yusuf and learn about their thoughts regarding this before forming an opinion based on ignorance

Thank God I found this website and bless you for your work. I have spent all my life the victim then advocate for victims of domestic violence and homicide. There is so much to be done and I thought the fight was over. Part of the victimization of muslim women is the illiteracy. Is there a program to educate muslim women regarding their rights? I would use the DV program's information translated in print and on audio for those who can't read. Please keep me posted. bren

In general a good essay, with a few problems. Christian writers, in my experience, are weak in understanding basics of the Dao De Jing and refute a ‘Taoism’ that bears no resemblance to the book. Often the ‘Taoism’ they explain and refute bears no resemblance to any broadly accepted Taoist text I’ve read. You've done an unusually good job among your peers familiarizing yourself with the subject before speaking. I’ll comment on a sentence.

“Christianity offers people the advantage of special revelation from God that not only gives us answers about human nature, but about God. Jesus Christ is ‘the Way.’”

The problem with this is that it’s particularism. That doctrine raises a group to a special spiritual status with unique sacred knowledge and exclusive relationship with God. That claim allows others to expect unique behavior. Christianity hasn’t been free from the same problems that beset other particularist, although its apologists often cherry pick history to make it seem so. The claim of unique spiritual knowledge is diminished by the lack behavioral evidence that doesn’t count on selective history.

I’m an avid student of the Dao De Jing, and think myself a Laotzunian Taoist. I’ve long been interested in talking with a Christian(s) who can discuss Lao Tzu/Jesus without getting inhospitable. I’d like to examine the merits of Christianity against Taoism. If there's a reason for me to adopt Christianity, I'd like to know so I can do it.
